The epitome of the NYC cool girl (having met her in person I can verify that!), Rebecca Minkoff turned out a collection that seemed made less for the runway than for the sidewalks of New York's hottest districts at night. You could step out onto the streets and see any number of 20-somethings wearing these outfits to work, to restaurants, on the weekend. Classic, easy, and effortless with that extra factor of modern style, the pieces are super covetable - I'm dying for the jacket on the bottom right and the dress on the bottom left. And of course, her eponymous bags look as great as ever.

My first love of fashion week: Christian Siriano. Having been (and still currently) a Project Runway obsessive, I always am excited to see how far he's come since then. The modern, edgy black looks were my favorite of his collection - the different textures, fabric and separates come together so well. Such "New York" looks.

Sure, the clothing itself gets better and better every season, but the styling of all the pieces together is just superb. I now want to wear combinations I never even considered/thought anyone could pull off in real life. Key (read: necessary to buy) pieces: short sequined skirt for daytime, studded white and gold sweater, crisp white blazer, skinny sweatpants (!!!), off-the-shoulder boatneck striped sweater.

If I ever were to be a designer, I think I would find most of my inspiration from Christopher Kane. I've been recently loving a whole group of British innovators - along with Kane, Erdem (previously featured here), Peter Pilotto, Louise Goldin and others; they're just so unique in their designs and amaze me everytime. Kane's Resort 2011 collection has been one of his strongest yet in my opinion - with those astral prints in vivid colors and patterns, they're not for fashion wallflowers. The actual dressing is still easy and effortless though: despite the intricacy of the prints, they come on simple, ready-to-wear garments. Start shopping - this collection could just as easily be for spring.

With Kate Spade as her aunt, you know creative genes run in the family. When I saw Whitney Pozgay's first collection as WHIT for fall, I loved the quirky, insouciant feel - with ruched flowers and metallic polka dots, the pieces had a carefree yet downtown feel to them. Her new collection for summer is no less entrancing - bold stripes, tribal prints and striking turquoises (that dress second from the left needs to be mine) just add to her already credible portfolio. Classics with a preppy/androgynous/minimalist twist, Lyn Devon's new collection for spring features quirky dresses in bright colors that pop for day or night. I love the chartreuse green, dull yellow, orangey red and of course the black and white contrast. Almost like Céline, but without the exponentially high price tag. Treat yourself to an easy wardrobe here.

Nicholas Kirkwood put more work into his spring collections than I've ever seen - his shoes for his own collection are sharp and angular pieces of architecture that belong in a design museum, while those for Rodarte are ornate, baroque sculptures that belong at the Met. Either way - he is truly an artist. My favorite is the sculptural wedge with an almost sky-looking print with clouds, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. See more of Kirkwood's work here.

Easy, breezy, beautiful California girl - the quintessential wearer of LA-based label Myne's spring 2011 collection. I might be jumping the gun a little, but it's never too early to start putting together a well-edited list of must-haves for warmer weather! Over the last few weeks from my constant online shopping escapades, Myne has emerged as one of my new favorite labels - all of their pieces just look easy and effortless (not to overquote the Project Runway judges), no matter what. The yellow Lisa dress on the very left is my absolute favorite - can it please be almost time to put on sandals already?

Facing the dreary sky of the heart of winter, all I want to do is look at gorgeous spring clothing and wish for brighter days. Erdem's S/S 2011 collection is exactly what I need - a haze of dreamy lace, punchy pastel colors and copious florals, it's like I'm walking in Alice's Wonderland. All you have to do is plant a garden behind your English cottage and throw a tea party. If only!
